Whether you build software in Karachi or Lahore, deliver remote IT services from Islamabad, or run a digital agency or ecommerce brand for overseas buyers, a UK company may help organise contracts and invoices. Ask whether the structure fits your work and how to fund and handle income lawfully within Pakistan’s framework. Eteform helps with UK Ltd formation, identity verification and a clear application. Incorporation is not SECP registration, a local licence, PSEB registration, an FBR tax number, or a banking promise. Start with where you live, where services are performed, who contracts, and how funds move abroad.
Can you form a UK Ltd from Pakistan?
Yes. You can form a UK Limited company from Pakistan remotely through an ACSP. The price on this page is From £450 + £100. The Companies House fee stays separate from the service fee. Filing is usually within 24–48 UK business hours after a complete file; that is a typical window, not a guaranteed registration time.
An IT freelancer with overseas contracts, a small software firm wanting a searchable contracting entity, a marketing or design agency serving Europe or the Gulf, or an ecommerce founder separating personal and international sales may consider a UK Ltd. A name alone will not fix payments.
Goods businesses must also weigh inventory, shipping, customs and returns. If you work in Pakistan or have premises or staff there, check local requirements before moving contracts. Overseas customers do not automatically move your obligations overseas.
Incorporation is not immigration or an SECP substitute
That office does not replace your Pakistani home address for verification. Formation can be remote, but ownership gives no UK visa, residence or right to work.
It also does not replace Pakistani company incorporation, or branch or liaison registration where SECP-administered company law requires it, or local sector licences. An entity operating inside Pakistan is a separate track from Companies House.
Keep Urdu and English naming consistent
Prepare the following; final evidence depends on the verification route. Use the Latin-script passport name, not a fresh Urdu transliteration or improvised English spelling. Many founders see CNIC, NICOP, passport and bank-statement mismatches.
A CNIC or NICOP may help locally or as supporting evidence, but is not an automatic passport substitute for every UK or banking recipient. For an initial enquiry, describe documents rather than sending identity images.
A valid passport and a clear, unaltered details-page image.
Your actual residential address and supporting evidence, such as an appropriate bank statement or utility bill.
Full and former names, birth date, email and residential address history for the previous twelve months.
Directors, shareholders, share allocations, people with significant control, and an accurate activity and customer description.
ACSP verification and chipless passports
Directors and people with significant control must meet Companies House identity requirements. Not every shareholder is automatically a PSC. Compliance checks may still require shareholder evidence.
Eteform offers an ACSP route for all nationalities, including chipless passports, without guaranteed approval. Companies House standards allow remote or in-person human checks on a specified evidence route.
A passport, second document and face comparison may be needed. A missing chip need not block verification, but checks remain. After success, keep the personal code secure.
The United Kingdom is also a party, and published objections to Pakistan’s accession do not include Britain. For covered public documents between these countries, an apostille replaces the usual consular chain.
Other states have objected; confirm the route if the recipient is in one of them. For a UK company certificate requested in Pakistan, confirm the certificate and format, then use the UK Legalisation Office process. Some documents need prior certification.
For Pakistani public documents required in Britain, designated authorities are Ministry of Foreign Affairs offices in Islamabad and liaison offices in Karachi, Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar and Gujrat.
Do not send Pakistani-issued documents to the UK office for apostilles. Ask about translations, originals or certified copies, and paper versus electronic formats. An apostille neither replaces translation nor guarantees acceptance for every purpose. Not every formation or banking file needs one.
Banking and payments require separate approval
Distinguish incorporation, business-account approval and payment-processing approval. Providers may assess Pakistani residence, owners, activity, source of funds, address, website and contracts. Eligibility to apply does not mean the owner or activity meets product criteria.
Eteform helps you prepare and submit a WorldFirst application as part of the agreed service. WorldFirst reviews each application and makes the decision; we do not guarantee approval, specific currencies or transfer routes. Confirm approval before committing to collection.
An HMRC notice to deliver a Company Tax Return requires a return, even with losses or no tax payable. Check VAT and payroll where relevant.
UK incorporation generally creates UK tax residence, subject to exceptions and dual-residence rules. Overseas customers do not mean no UK tax. In Pakistan, obtain advice on salary, dividends and management from Pakistan.
Do not assume exemption or that UK company tax settles your personal position. FBR explains Iris e-enrolment and that a thirteen-digit CNIC is the individual’s National Tax Number.
For resident IT exporters and freelancers, the State Bank of Pakistan issues separate instructions on export receipts and exporters’ special foreign-currency accounts through authorised dealers, and links the IT-company definition to PSEB or P@SHA registration where applicable.
PSEB publishes a freelancer route using documents such as a personal tax number, CNIC and bank-account letter. Before funding the UK company, retaining funds abroad or classifying receipts as services exports, ask your authorised dealer which current rules apply.
Incorporation does not make you non-resident, grant unrestricted transfers, or waive local export frameworks. This is general information, not personal tax or FX advice.
Hypothetical example: a Lahore developer
This illustration is not a client story. A Lahore developer serving UK clients considers a UK Ltd. He first reviews Pakistani activity, any PSEB or tax steps, and share funding with an accountant and authorised bank, reconciles name spellings, completes verification and applies separately for an account.
He does not invoice through the new entity on promised banking approval, and keeps separate records.

FAQs for UK formation from Pakistan
Can I manage it without moving to Britain?
UK rules do not require a UK-resident director. Review management from Pakistan, keep a compliant UK office address, and check local requirements where they apply.
Does a UK Ltd replace SECP company registration or a local licence?
No. British registration does not replace Pakistani company formation, branch or liaison registration where required, or local sector licences.
What if my Urdu CNIC name differs from my English passport?
Use the passport spelling for the UK file, flag the difference early with evidence, and do not invent a third spelling. Passport particular changes are ordinarily linked to prior identity-card updates with the competent Pakistani authorities.
Must my passport have a chip?
Not necessarily through an ACSP. We assess the passport and supporting evidence before determining whether verification can proceed, without guaranteeing success.
Is a UK apostille enough for a company certificate in Pakistan?
For covered public documents between the two countries, an apostille replaces the usual consular legalisation chain. Confirm the document, translation and format the Pakistani recipient requires; an apostille does not guarantee acceptance for every purpose.
Does UK incorporation guarantee WorldFirst or waive SBP export rules?
No. We only help prepare and submit a WorldFirst application; approval is the provider’s decision. Resident export-receipt and foreign-currency-account rules are applied by authorised dealers under current State Bank instructions and are not cancelled by UK registration.
