How formation works with Eteform
Since 2024, director identity checks must go through an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) with Companies House. We handle the English name check, SIC code, IN01, identity verification and filing. In most cases you receive the Certificate of Incorporation within 24–48 business hours, with a Same Day option before 3pm UK time. Pay by Stripe, PayPal or region-friendly methods; documents are delivered digitally to your email and client area.
Documents we need from clients in the UAE
Valid passport, proof of address (DEWA bill, Ejari or bank statement for residents), and director/shareholder details in English exactly as they will appear on the register. UAE filings are among the fastest thanks to clear documentation.
Banking and payment gateways after formation
After formation you can open Wise Business or Revolut Business, then transfer to UAE banks via SWIFT. The UAE has no general personal income tax — which can make profit structures efficient for many residents (confirm with your local tax adviser).
Stripe and payment gateways from the UAE
Stripe and Shopify Payments usually want an entity in a supported country plus a clear website and registered address. From Dubai a common path is: UK Ltd + London address + Wise/Revolut in the company name, then apply to Stripe. Approval is never guaranteed — prepare a real product/service description, refund policy and supply proof if you sell physical goods. Avoid VPNs when opening the bank account or Stripe.
Tax and residency — the UAE perspective
The UAE has federal corporate tax on some activities and VAT, while a UK Ltd may owe Corporation Tax in Britain when applicable. Running both a Free Zone entity and a UK Ltd is common, but accounting and contracts must stay separate: do not mix UK marketplace invoices with the local licence without advice. Personal tax residence in the UAE does not cancel the UK company's Companies House and HMRC duties.
Common use cases from the UAE
Frequent UAE cases: Amazon UK/EU sellers needing a trusted European entity; Shopify stores selling to the Gulf and Europe that need Stripe; tech consultants invoicing UK clients; marketing agencies needing ad accounts and a payment gateway in a company name. In each case we align SIC, address and activity wording with what you will later tell the bank and platform.
Practical tip for clients in the UAE
A UK Ltd is not a substitute for your UAE licence; it extends you into British and European markets. Choose the privacy package if you want a London address without publishing your home address on the public register.
Annual obligations for your UK company
Confirmation Statement (CS01), annual accounts for Companies House, and Corporation Tax registration/returns when required. Eteform reminds you of deadlines and can file CS01 and dormant accounts on your behalf.
