Why we built this glossary
Most non-resident founders run into UK legal and tax terminology with no precise Arabic equivalent, forcing them to piece together scattered English sources or rely on misleading literal translations. We built this glossary as a single reference covering every term that comes up when forming and running a UK Ltd — from registering with Companies House to staying compliant with HMRC and opening payment accounts. Each entry keeps the original English term, because that's what actually appears on official forms and correspondence, alongside a plain-language explanation, a practical example, and common questions — drawn from our experience as an authorised Companies House agent (ACSP) that has formed companies for founders across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and the wider Arab world since 2015.
